Fishing Hot Spots Releases Updated Maps for Lakes Mendota & Monona in WI

February 19, 2007
For Immediate Release

Rhinelander, WI
- Fishing Hot Spots, Inc., the nations premier publisher of "where-to" fishing information presented in map and book form, is proud to announce the first of many major revisions, updates and new products to its Wisconsin product line. FHS has begun the process of introducing a wholly redesigned fishing map product and, once again, raising the bar and setting a new standard for fishing maps as a whole. The first maps to be released in Wisconsin are Mendota and Monona, in Madison, WI.

Fishing Hot Spots, Inc. took a long and involved look at its existing product and went back to the drawing board in order to deliver the quality and information our customers expect in a more user friendly and easily accessible manner. Aside from the striking cartographic changes which were developed to make the map easier to read and allow users to more readily visualize the lake structure, the way we present the fishing information, an integral part of our maps, has been revamped and made easier to use.

FHS map users will find the restructured presentation of information to be very easy to understand, allowing quicker access to what is important to them. Among the enhancements made are a restructure of the lake access information, color photographs of primary game fish species in the "Tips & Techniques", color coding of primary game fish species adjacent to each "Fishing Point of Interest" and color photographs of suggested baits, lures and riggings that are applicable to each body of water.

Cartographically, FHS has made many changes to the presentation of the map itself and the quality fishing information we provide. The color scheme of the map has been changed for greater contrast between land and water. Each of these newly designed maps has color-shaded depth information, at fixed depth intervals, allowing quicker visualization of the lake structure. The "Fishing Points of Interest" on each map not only refer to the thoroughly researched information about that location but, are now color-coded symbols indicating the most prevalent game fish species caught in the area.

In keeping with current and evolving technology, GPS information is provided for every access location and "Fishing Point of Interest" on the map. Combined with an accurate latitude and longitude grid overlay, these FHS maps are the most user friendly and accurate fishing maps available on the market.

Fishing Hot Spots, Inc. has been making quality fishing maps for over 32 years and currently has a product line of over 600 maps for both freshwater and saltwater fishing. Our standard maps are waterproof, tear proof and float. All FHS products are made in the USA by anglers, for anglers. In addition to our paper map line, all FHS maps are available for use in the majority of GPS/Mapping units through our partnerships with Garmin, Lowrance, C-Map, Magellan, Fugawi and Navionics.

FHS maps are available at your favorite fishing tackle retailer, outdoor chain store, or online at www.fishinghotspots.com.
